CURRENT OPENING PROCEDURES (As of August 2021)
We're pleased to announce that the Laureate Park Aquatic Center and Half-Basketball Court have reopened. The Aquatic Center will be open daily from 8am - 6pm, except during daylight savings when the hours are 8am - 7:30pm. Residents, and guests, will be participating at their own risk and are encouraged to take appropriate measures to protect themselves, including following social distancing standards. High risk individuals are encouraged to avoid crowds and other situations that may put them at risk for Covid-19. 

As of March 31, 2023 the basketball court will open at 8:30am and close at 6pm, , except during daylight savings when it will close at 7:00pm.

Event Reservations can be requested via the reservation agreement form, at the bottom of this page. Completed forms can be emailed back to [email protected] or [email protected].

Please review the below additional rules and regulations in place during this time.

LP AQUATIC CENTER RULES 
(IN ADDITION TO EXISTING AQUATIC CENTER RULES)
  • Reservations will no longer be needed.
  • Only two guests, per home, will be allowed and only with a Laureate Park resident who is registered in the app. The guest MUST show their I.D. and must sign in with the attendant, providing the name and home address of the resident they are guests for. Instructors are allowed with the resident they are teaching. They cannot teach multiple groups of residents at once. No swim instructing is allowed in the main pool or lap lane pool.
  • LP Aquatic will be open from 8am to 6pm, except during daylight savings when the hours are 8am - 7:30pm.
  • Residents must be 18 and up to enter and MUST show their I.D. There will be no exceptions.
  • Residents under 18 must have a legal guardian present, who is registered on the app.
  • Residents MUST be in the Lake Nona App system. Each resident must have their own app account. Attendants will be checking the app for the resident’s name and confirming with the I.D. This is to help ensure that only Laureate Park residents are utilizing the facility. There will be no exceptions.

The Aquatic Center is open to Laureate Park residents seven days a week. By entering and utilizing LP Aquatic you agree to follow the rules and guidelines outlined, as well as be responsible for any guests you bring. 

POLICIES AND RULES

UMBRELLAS AND CABANAS.  Please remember to close any umbrellas you have used before you leave the Aquatic Center. As we enter the season of afternoon thunderstorms and wind, it is important that umbrellas are not potentially damaged during a storm. If you have used a cabana and zipped up one of the sides, please unzip the side panel and tie it before leaving.  

SWIM DIAPERS. Swim diapers are required for children that have not been toilet trained. There have already been many incidents at the Aquatic Center that have required the pool to be closed for a day for a chlorine shock. Note that this rule applies for any area where a child is in contact with the water – including the deck jets by the dumping bucket.

AQUATIC CENTER RULES

  1. LP Aquatic will be open from 8am to 6pm, except during daylight savings when the hours are 8am - 7:30pm.  Swimming is prohibited during nighttime hours.  Access is granted through the Lake Nona App and presenting your I.D. to the attendant.  
  2. No lifeguard on duty – SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK
  3. Dial 911 for emergencies 
  4. Person(s) under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian resident
  5. Shower before entering the pool
  6. For safety, diaper age children must wear swim diapers
  7. Any person with cuts, infections, or communicable diseases shall not use the pool
  8. Do not swallow pool water
  9. No diving, running or horseplay permitted
  10. No swimming during severe weather, heavy rain, or when thunder and lightning can be seen
  11. Proper swimming attire required – no cut-offs or thongs
  12. Place trash in receptacles 
  13. No glass permitted in the fenced pool area
  14. No animals permitted in the fenced pool area
  15. No food or beverages in the pool or the pool's wet deck
  16. No loud music allowed, earphones are to be used
  17. Be courteous, no boisterous behavior or crude language
  18. Keep all pool gates closed when entering or leaving the area
  19. Do not prop open gates to the pool at any time
  20. Pool furniture and safety equipment is to remain in the pool area
  21. Put down pool umbrellas after use
  22. Unzip the cabanas sides after use in order to leave all sides open
  23. Maximum adult pool capacity is 150 persons
  24. Maximum family pool capacity is 80 persons    
  25. Barbecues, grills and open flames are not permitted within the Aquatic Center
  26. Glass containers or objects of any kind are not permitted
  27. Smoking is not permitted in the Aquatic Center
  28. Please be respectful of the 'quiet pool' area and refrain from disruptive behavior
  29. Large inflatables are not permitted
  30. Please keep the lap lanes clear as this disrupts members swimming laps
