Amenity Update

5/21/2020

Hello Laureate Park Homeowners,

We would like to take a few minutes and update you on a few issues within the community.  First, please allow us to thank everyone for their cooperation during these trying times. The Board of Directors and Management know that this has been a burden on many of you and we appreciate the fact that most of the residents within our great community have been following the CDC restrictions, that we have had to impose on the community.

Now for some good news. Beginning Monday, May 18, 2020, Governor DeSantis authorized the lifting of the state’s restrictions on restaurant and retail store capacity. The Board is working with our insurance partners and counsel to ensure we safely re-open LP Fit. It is our hope to have LP Fit opened, in a limited capacity, by the end of the month. The other public areas are being examined and considered for re-opening as well.

As you may be aware, the Laureate Park Aquatic Center has been undergoing a significant expansion during the winter and spring. This expansion includes a new lap pool, shade pavilion, half-court basketball court and expanded restrooms. The work is projected to be complete in late June. The Laureate Park Aquatic Center is projected to re-open at the end of June. Note that the Aquatic Center will operate at a reduced capacity due to social distancing requirements of COVID.  We will have more information on the re-opening in the coming weeks.

One final issue, the doggy stations. We have been receiving several complaints regarding the use, or lack thereof, of the doggy stations throughout the community. Please be considerate of your neighbors. Let us continue to show some pride in our community and use the doggy stations as required. NO one wants to see their neighbor’s dogs doing their business on their yards. The HOA, and you the owner, have paid a lot of money for the installation of these stations.  Please USE them.

Again, thank you for your patience during these trying times,

Chris Gullion
